[...] So I had to show all web world that there is a new born baby “itcserver.com” here, it is going to be grown up and become a professional website. Please take care of it, give a place for it in your servers. As far as I know only Blogger is familiar with blog.itcserver.com. I don’t know how became really fast familiar with it. But no any other big brothers (google, yahoo, msn, technorati) recognize it. Since there is no easy way to reach my blog, I am also still wondering how Andrew Kantor found my blog and left a comment.
Ismail,

I have not very much experience with MySQL but I think it supports Turkish character set. Many Turkish news sites which I guess even you read them frequently was developed in PHP and I guess they use MySQL as a database. For example: internethaber, haber7, Aksiyon, etc...

MySQL Developer Zone says here:

South European and Middle Eastern character sets supported by MySQL include Armenian, Arabic, Georgian, Greek, Hebrew, and Turkish.

Even you find more technical information here.

I am wondering if I write the Turkish letters here, how they will appear in my comment. Let me try:

Capital Turkish Letters: İ Ş Ç Ü Ğ Ö
Lowercase Turkish Letters: ı ş ç ü ğ ö

Andrew Kantor,

I am very excited that you commented my blog. Thank you for your interest.

I am wondering how you found my blog. I just checked Awstats statistics but I could not find any search engine reaches for a couple past days. I know that itcserver.com was not indexed yet by any search engine (google, yahoo, msn, etc..). I just put a link on my jroller blog and blogger.com shows some posts.

I looked all search engines information; indexing, keywords, ping services, etc... It's my recent one of works to place my blog in seach engines. I will do it as soon as possible.

Thank you for a your kind comment.

Hello, I want to ask about the language problems we might have when using PHP and mySQL. I heard that there may be some difficulties about displaying characters other than English. For example, if I intend to build a Turkish website, I should venture some misprocesses of Turkish letters via PHP and mySQL. Dotted I's could be shown and stored as "Y" characters. Is there full compatibility for Turkish language or not? Does mySQL have the ability to store Turkish characters 100% properly? I'd like to hear your comments.
Thank 'u...

Ismail,

I totally aggree with you about MS products. Although there are alternative products for MS products, MS is one of the biggest players in IT world. MS cannot be ignored completely. Plase always share your decisions and experiences with me!

Thank you, for telling us the whole duration of deciding what environment to use and what languages, programs to learn on the way of being a qualified web developer. The experiences of an expert have been always very important and beneficial for novices. Like you, I don't have sincere feelings for MS products. either. But, since we are surrounded with them, we must use and learn them. According to your article, I should review my decisions about web-development-self-training.
Thanx again,
I wish success in your endeavours...
