Importing Jroller Posts to WordPress
I imported all my all posts from my jroller blog to here. I searched a way to export all entries from jroller, and to import WordPress. I realized there is a bunch of people who switched WordPress from jroller. But I also realized that there is no easy way to do it. Fortunately I don’t have lots of entries on jroller.
There are WordPress’ Import options for Blogger, Movable Type and Textpattern, but not for jroller. Even I went to jroller to look at export / import options, but there is nothing. One of the import options in WordPress is RSS. So I thought I could use it. Take the jroller RSS entries file and upload into WordPress. The first time I tried, it did not work. Because there was no write permission for wp-content folder. So I went to cpanel - File Manager and gave to write permission for World mode; permission 755 to 757. And then I did the import operation. It worked. I changed the permission for wp-content back as default.
But unfortunately jroller RSS entries file consists of only 15 posts. It means I only imported last 15 posts. So I imported the remaining entries and comments manually. Write a post, change Post Timestamp.
Finally I have all my posts in this blog since February 2005.
