Amazing Job in GaETC State Tech Fair!

FSA Tech Team 9 students with 8 projects which are first place winners in Fulton County Tech Fair presented Fulton County and FSA in GaETC State Tech Fair on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Tucker Middle School.

FSA Tech Team has done an amazing job in GaETC State Tech Fair:

  • 4 First Places in Robotics, Multimedia, 3D Modeling and Non-Animated Graphic Design categories
  • 2 Third Places in Animated Graphic Design and Internet categories
  • 2 Participants in Case Modification and Non-Multimedia categories

Those results are truly amazing! Last year we got 1 first, 1 second and 1 third places. 2005-2006 year has become FSA’s the most successful year in past 4 years in terms of Fulton County Tech Fair results and GaETC State Tech Fair results. FSA was the most successful “middle” school in Fulton; although I haven’t seen all results yet, I guess FSA is also the most successful middle school in Georgia with 4 first and 2 third places. I checked Lakeview Academy’s results. They are saying:

Lakeview ran away with 18 awards earned; the next runner-up school, Fulton Science Academy, had 6 awards.

But their results are for 3rd grade through 12th grades level. When you look at only 5th & 6th and 7th & 8th grades level, it can be seen that they won 2 first, 3 second and 1 third places as our competitor. It means that FSA is the most successful middle school in Georgia in terms of State Tech Fair results.

Even when I glanced other regions tech fair websites, I saw that Cobb County Schools won 3 first places, 4 second places, 3 third places; Whitfield County Schools won 3 first places, 3 second places, 5 third places for middle school categories. I don’t think any middle school got 4 first places like FSA.

I am sad for there is no national competition. I haven’t finished yet to publish all projects on FSA Tech Team website. I have been still working on that. It is time to prepare projects for Georgia Media Festival.

I am very happy about this year. Since the beginning of the year most students worked hard and they’ve done a great job. Thank you all students and parents. I enjoyed working with you as coach. This year will become a wonderful remembrance for me with all team teaching studies, after school studies, weekend studies, winter break studies and lock-in day.

I’ve found out that FSA Tech Team has won an other 3rd place with tie for Non-Multimedia Category in GaETC State Tech Fair 2006. They did not annonce it in award ceremony. GaETC State Tech Fair results has been published on website. I saw it there.

So we got 4 first places and 3 third places. This makes FSA the most successful middle school in Georgia.

    Thank you students and parents…
