Best Buy Selects SAP, Will Best Buy Replace Retek with SAP Retail?
US consumer electronics retailer Best Buy selected SAP ERP and SAP Retail.
As far as I know Best Buy is using Retek as retail software, and we know that Retek was acquired by Oracle two years ago. Check out “Oracle beats SAP to buy Retek“. It’s known that SAP’s big and the most aggressive competitor is Oracle. So the question is “Will Best Buy replace Retek with SAP Retail?” If yes what a big attack from SAP.
I noticed another thing is in the news:
The SAP platform will provide multi-language/multi-currency and integrated information capabilities for portions of the international business unit? Retail, merchandising, supply chain, wholesale distribution, finance, human resources, and store operations. The first phase of implementation will include current expansion of Best Buy into China, Mexico, and Turkey.
Therefore, Best Buy has been considering entering Turkey (Turkiye) market. What interesting news! Recently Turkiye economy is growing fast and those kinds of investments and projects entering Turkiye. It’s good for Turkiye! The more player in the market, the more competitiveness, and the more benefit for consumers.
Hey, SAP folks in Türkiye, a new big project is waiting for you!
